Maximizing 8800GT

I have a 8800GTOC and Im having issues with the card. I have a Core2Duo E6600 Processor on A gigabyte motherboard with 4 gigs ddr2 Ram on Windows XP Pro. Im really having problems playing Need For Speed Shift on any Resolution. Any suggestions beside getting a new card (which I'm planning on doing just not right now!)?

did u ry reinstalling the drivers or reformating the drive becoz sometime drivers or windows itself ges corrupted try this and reply,and never overclock such a medium GPU always relay on low GPU overclocking!!!
