When I open the "Internet Time" tab on the "Date and Time Properties"
dialog it says that the next time synchronization will be 7 days after the
previous one. Is there any way to make Windows to synchronize time with
Internet time servers every 6 hours?

Go to http://www.dougknox.com/, click on WIn XP Utilities, then
choose Change Internet Time Update Interval
