I am looking at possibly upgrading my pc or at the very least getting a smaller case. I currently have a thermaltake case, which is big and heavy.
I don't have alot of money to upgrade but may do it if it would not be too expensive.

My current pc is about 6-7 yrs old and I have not kept up to date on hardware since then. so If I do want to upgrade I need some advice on motherboards, proc, and anything else that may not be compatible.

My current pc:

MB - MSI 6585
Intel P4 3.20 Dual
1 GB of ram
WD 800jb
Nvidia geforce fx5600
SB live

If I go with just a case, would my current system work in the newer one's

Thank you

any atx case would support this motherboard. If you wish to go smaller - then a micro atx (matx) or itx motherboard would be required which also means getting a new porocessor and ram, Your hard dive would transfer over to any new motherboard provided it has an IDE port. Most new motherboard have drivers for XP but please make sure they do before you buy.
