URGENT Core enabling issue!!!! HELP!!!!

Hi, I have a quad core cpu - in msconfig I reduced the number of processors to boot from 4 to 2 just to run some tests.

Now when i go back I cant change it above 2! Its as if 2 of the cores have been erased.

It used to say no. of cores 1-4 now it just says 1-2!!

What the hell is going on - please help!!!!!

Reset your bios to system default.

Under the boot tab in msconfig, click advanced and uncheck the number of processors box, that'll set it back to four.

PS: this happened to me once a long time ago :lol:
