I just bought a Panasonic FZ3 and I want to use the Windows XP Scanner and
Camera Wizard to download and manage photos from the camera. I haven't been
able to get this to work. It doesn't seem to recognise the camera.
I can only download from the camera using the bundled Panasonic software
which I don't like.
Has anyone been able to use the Windows XP Scanner and Camera Wizard with
Panasonic cameras?
Thanks,
John

Can't help with the S&C wizard but I have an FZ3 and I just plug it in and
XP recognises it is as a logical drive.

Thanks Tony,
my computer recognises the FZ3 as a drive ok.
I also have a Canon Powershot and when I connect that to the computer it
recognises it as a drive but ALSO loads the Windows Scanner and Camera
software for downloading the images, rotating and printing etc.
How long have you had your FZ3? Happy with it? I just got mine yesterday.

I solved this problem .... I switched the setting in the camera from usb to
pictbridge and now Windows scanner and camera wizard activates when I
connect the camera.
Don't know why this should be, but it works.

js,
I'm not sure whether that's actually desirable. I, for one,
prefer the logical drive.
