Virus causing external hard drive files hidden

Hello,
I received a virus on my computer through Skype. it affected my external hard drive, all the information is showing that it is still on there but it is hidden. How do I undo this???

I had a virus like this awhile ago, bit of a pain really but it didn't seem to cause any damage.

First off can you see the hidden files? If not, then go to Folder & Search Options -> Under the view tab go to show hidden files and folders.

If you want to change everything from hidden to non-hidden, select the most root folder and then right click on it and select properties. Under there, uncheck the hidden box and it should change all the files back to normal.
