Does back-up include Windows files?

Hello,
Windows 8 consumer preview is about to expire. I installed it over my default OS (C (I know this was a stupid move). I know I have to format the drive and then install windows 7 again. I want to keep my programs and files so my question is: Will the back-up include the Windows 8 files?

Hello,

You cannot keep your programs to run on Windows 7 because the ones which are installed on Windows 8 have their entries stored in its registry. However the files that you have manually created such as .docx or .xlsx using the programs MS Word or MS Excel respectively can be restored to your Windows 7 computer. You need to install MS Office suite on Windows 7 to open and access those files though.
