Hi guys, I have one question for you. I'm buying Sandy Bridge PC. Setup should look like this:
CPU-- Intel Core i5 2500k
RAM-- 4Gb of DDR3 1333mhz
GRAPHIC-- ATI Radeon 5850( possibly 6850)
HDD-- 1Tb
AND one problem: MOTHERBOARD. This is the motherboard that my dealer recommended: MSI P67A-C43
I think that this is solid motherboard but I need your opinion. I'm new to overclocking and I want to overclock CPU to 4Ghz. Is this motherboard capable to do this? And can I overclock this CPU whit stock cooling or I need to buy new cooler? THANKS IN ADVANCE!

Well there are certainly better boards out there, the z68 chipset is the newest and has the most features. Do you have any plans for crossfire or sli cause the board you listed only has one pci-e slot.

You will want aftermarket cpu cooling if you plan to overclock. The cm hyper 212+ seems to be recommended most for high quality with a low price tag. It can be found for thirty dollars on both amazon and walmart.com.

I know about one PCI -e slot and I don't have in plan to do crossfire or sli. About the cooler definitely I will buy new one. So one more time please: This MSI Motherboard is capable to run Core i5 2500k on 4Ghz? Thanks for your reply!!!!

I've always been a fan of ASUS. As for the Z68 motherboards, I would definitely choose one of those over a P67. I've heard of far too many boot and hard drive connection problems with the P67, and so far none of those have been reported with the Z68.

I just picked one of these up myself for my own i5-2500k build:
ASUS P8PZ68-V Pro - $209
Wait for it to be back in stock and it'll be a great buy.

As stated earlier by mlCaouette, the Hyper 212+ is probably one of the cheapest yet best heatsinks out there. I also picked up one of these for my build.
Cooler Master Hyper 212+ Heatsink

Hope this helps!

Well currently in my country there is no z68 motherboard and I can't wait for z68 to come because I'm in hurry now. And my MSI mother board is revision 3 so it should not be any problems, but thank you for your reply!
