I'm curious...which do you guys feel is better...a CPU which is powerful compared to others with the same speed but cost a lot more...or a CPU which is more powerful compared to others with the same price point?

More about : power price

I would rather have one with a better architecture and pay a few bucks more then one with the same power that's cheaper.

huh? by the CPU you mean like an athlon II and phenom II at the same speed but different price points? It's not really a fair comparison is it? They are different prices.

I would always take the better CPU at equal price, who wouldn't?

In general, buy a CPU based on price and performance, not clockspeed.

a cpu is a cpu, either you want to game and watch movies or you want to do basic office tasks or you want to render some serious content, as for me, i will choose whatever gives me best bang for buck, i dont mind waiting half an hour for a movie to be converted, and im not paying 10x the price for tripple the speed, powerfull cpus are for rendering, getting a anything above a i7 930/x4 955 for an average gamer to me is a waste, the epeen mentality drives capitalism, but i dont think it makes sense,

aah wth im just hating, i know if i had that kind of dough i would be more than happy to get myself a 980x lol
