Guess most ppl thought the previous thread was old...it was.
Took me a while to get the finances arranged.
Finally got the money the 1st of June to upgrade so here goes the question.

Still working with a 775 Mobo from gigabyte which really worked well for me.
Currently running duo 6600 32 bit, windows 7, 4GB 1333, ATI HD 5700

Now I'm looking to upgrade with a budget of about 500 € (buying the house recently does not help)

The only items I'm looking for are a Mobo, CPU and memory

Approximate Purchase Date: latest end of next month.

Budget Range: 500 €

System Usage from Most Important: Gaming only

Only looking for Mobo and CPU

Preferred Website(s) for Parts:Any site that gives me a financial advantage, needs to be sent to Belgium (taxes p&p)

Country of Origin: Belgium

Parts Preferences: Intel for CPU/ Mobo any solid Mobo will do. Prefferably with some room for future upgrades.

Overclocking: moderate O/C

SLI or Crossfire: not needed only running 1 GFX card

Monitor Resolution: N/A but usually run 1280x1024, 1600x1200, 1920x1200

Additional Comments: Just needs to be a decent gaming rig...mobo and CPU needs to keep me going for at least 2 years. GFX card will be changed around the end of this year...if 'm lucky :)

Thank you all for your time.

Going on Davcon's post I'm looking into these atm.

GA-P67A-UD4-B3 159 €
i5 2500k 4x 3.30Ghz 165 €
2 x 4GB Ripjaws DDR3 1600 86 €

This gives me room for another small 100 €

Anything else I can improve on these? get perhaps a mobo more rdy for the future?
AFAI can tell the i7 is too expensive to be able to get for this price? Or at least to make enough of a difference?
Or if nothing makes enough difference , would it be better to replace my 7200 HDD for a 10k RPM?

Gaming is the purpose.

Thank you,

Dirk
