It is taking ages to transfer files in to my hard disk

i bought acer 320 gb hard disk....at first it was fine but now it is taking ages to transfer files into the hard-disk....it is taking very long time even for relatively small sized files while for other storage item(pendrive) it is taking very little time.....can u tell me what the problem with my hard disk....

tq for the answer but i have formatted the hard drive number of times but still i am having the same problem.....if it is an hard disk problem can it be rectified....

do you hear any weird sound from hdd

check it for bad sectors by this program
