Basic info and recommendations please

Hey all,
This is my spec:- Mobo Asus P5N-D nForce 750i SLi SSP
CPU Core 2 Quad Q9550 2.83GHz @ 3.4GHz
RAM Corsair 8GB 1066
GPU nVidia GTX 280 x 2 SLi
Storage 1TB
Blue ray re writer and CD rom
Antec 1200 case
Noctua NH-U12P


In the near future i want to change the mobo and upgrade the processor, if i can get away with not doing much else then great, if not what do you all recommend?
I want to use the 'i5' or 'i7' range of CPU.

just use your computer until it becomes obsolete.. with a new cpu in the i5/i7 range, you'll have to get a new motherboard, ram, and cpu

use it until it can't do what you want it to do well.. that's still a pretty powerful rig man

You have a pretty potent rig there, pretty much equivalent to today's i5 750 and dual GTX460s, give or take. Feel free to OC higher to squeeze out some extra performance.

Honestly there's no need to change it now, if you really want to upgrade, Id suggest you to jump on the SB and HD6000 bandwagon in about a month or so.
