I just bought this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16829132010 <><> and since it does not have standard 7.1 connectors what will I need to buy to set it up as 7.1 configuration.I have 5.1 speakers and I have a few extra speakers laying around in the garage that are still usable. Next week I am buying this receiver <><> http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16882117343<><> For better sound quality am I supposed to connect the receiver to the sound card somehow ??

Solution
No sweat, it's virtual 7.1 not true 7.1, but in anycase if you're planning on buying the Pioneer then all you need to do it hook up the cable which came with the STX and it'll give you the left and right channel correctly to the Pioneer.
Incase you still feel left out of the 5.1 or 7.1 arena, then you can connect the spdif from the motherboard or your sound card to the video card. Nvidia uses a pass through tech to allow you to run said audio through the video's HDMI.
And then the HDMI can connect to the Pioneer. I don't know which one your 295 or 480 will have the connector on the card.
Look at them and let us know.
