Upgrade XFX 4770 to XFX 5770??

hi,i have a gaming pc and im wondering if i can upgrade my XFX4770 card to a XFX5770 with no problems,does the 5770 use more power than the 4770 card,im not sure coz my PSU is not great but ok,here is the spec"s of my PC. . . ...........NZXT APPOLLO CASE,EP-45 UDL3 gigabyte motherboard... 4GB KIT(2x XMS2 2GB) Corsair 'XMS2' [TWIN2X4096-6400C5], DDR2/PC6400/800MHz x 1, 550W Greatwall - 12cm Fan x 1,500GB Seagate ‘Barracuda’ [ST3500418AS], 7200.12/SATA/16MB CACHE x 1, Intel® Core™2 Duo E7600, 3.06GHz/FSB1066MHz/3MB Cache/LGA775 x 1,XFX HD 4770 512MB 128Bit, [11X-HD4770-512], PCIe x 1, any help is appreciated,thanx

So what is your PSU? The HD 4770 consumes about 50w during gaming, the HD 5770 consumes about 61w while gaming. Running something like FurMark will push the HD 5770 to around 81w. Don't know about the HD 4770.

The system is fine but yeah, depends on the PSU. If it's 450W or more then yes.

My PSU is a 550W great wall.a bit cheap but so far it has worked fine with my PC,thanks for your help.looks like the XFX 5770 will be ok without buying a new PSU,thanks again,Mrclownface!!!
