I'm struggling to find a laptop that suits my needs. I want a 64-bit
laptop with a mobile graphics solution that's as powerful as possible.

The best I've found so far is the Compaq R3000Z series, but it only
goes as far as a 64MB NVidia GeForce 4 440 Go -- not so hot.

- Would an ATI Mobility Radeon 9600 be significantly faster?

- Who is selling a laptop with a 64-bit chipset that has a very
powerful graphics card?

- If money wasn't an issue (dreaming on, I am), where could I find the
most powerful 64-bit laptop on the market today?

If you're in the US go by BestBuy--they have Gateways with Athlon 64 and
Radeon 9600 for $1300. For a lot more you can get an Acer Ferrari with
Radeon 9700.

Try actually answering the question. What's the model number of the 64-bit
laptop from Alienware? You suggested them so you must know of one that
they sell.

Alienware's laptops are Intel, as far as I know, as are some nice
graphics-oriented laptops from Velocity Micro:

if you want 64bit AMD, try

The person who suggested the Acer Ferrari is also correct.
