Plus this is 70% for my dad so do you think he would appreciate it? Because he'll be doing a lot of work on it so I dont want him to wast $1000 on some shitty sony and have it screw over. I recommend another 500GB speedy drive for the OS.

Like a samsung spinpoint F3 500GB. They cost like 59.99

Placing your OS on a 1.5TB drive, especially a caviar green for 1 defeats the green aspect as it isn't alowed to go "dormant"

Also without your monitor size/resolution it's hard to say if the 5770 will be adequate.

And for the 0 answers complaint, its 3 AM, what did you expect?

Depends. I for one enjoy having a 1.5TB media drive for my music and DVDs.

I'd look at a 500GB OS/program drive, and a 1-1.5TB media Drive.

But once again, whats the monitor resolution, and what games do you intend to play?

Get the GTX 460, its more powerful but a little cheaper than the 5830.
(I kno i always post to get the GTX 460, but I am not a NVIDIA fanboy, I have a 5870, Actually, i am more of a ATI fanboy...)

Besides my rambling, The GTX 460 is a better bang for your buck card

Yes and no

There are two versions, the 1 gb (which is the better version) and 768mb versin of the card. Both are really good, and the 786 mb is on par/ba little better than the 5830, but the 1 gb is the way to go.
