Computer fan fell off

Hi my computer just started randomly cutting out like someone turned the power off. I opened the back of the computer and the cpu fan just fell off. People have told me it may be the power supply but I have now found this problem. Would the fan definitely make my computer randomly cut out? Thanks

has the fan fell off or the fan and heatsink?
in short yes, either will make your pc cut off though due to excess heat
