Would new mobo be beneficial?

Hello,
I have a asus m3a78-cm flashed to newest. Amd 955 phenom quad core and a msi 460 gt and 4 gigs ddr2. Would replacing this older but very nice mobo have any performance benefits? I know I could go ddr3 but is that worth it? I want to play skyrim maxed out in november. Thanks! Also I have 4 mem slots with 2x2 gigs should I fully populate with my spare 2x1? they are same vendor freq and all.

You could get a mobo with the new AMD socket, AM3+ (ready for the upcoming Bulldozer CPUs) but DDR3 isn't better than DDR2. You can add that RAM if it's the same voltage I don't know if the dual channel will still work.
