Hey everyone.
i have an old DVD enclosure and am wondering if i can slap a hard drive in it and thus have a USB HDD.

PARTS:
the DVD external case is IDE and Molex. i have a power supply and a usb cable [like for a printer]. i also have several HDD's to test with.

i plugged the HDD in and seemed to be a no go for some reason, so i added a jumper and made it CS, but still nothing.

Is this even possible? LOL :pt1cable:

PEACE!!!

There shouldn't be any issue with this save securing the drive in the enclosure. Are you sure the drive and/or enclosure are good?

Yes drives work, and enclosure works w/ a DVD rom hooked to it.
