HDD in a DVD enclosere? [POSSIBLE?] Tags: DVD Hard Drives Storage Last response: October 10, 2012 5:31 AM in Storage Share Majestic One October 9, 2012 8:23:12 PM Hey everyone. i have an old DVD enclosure and am wondering if i can slap a hard drive in it and thus have a USB HDD. PARTS: the DVD external case is IDE and Molex. i have a power supply and a usb cable [like for a printer]. i also have several HDD's to test with. i plugged the HDD in and seemed to be a no go for some reason, so i added a jumper and made it CS, but still nothing. Is this even possible? LOL PEACE!!! More about : hdd dvd enclosere cl-scott a b G Storage October 9, 2012 9:18:10 PM There shouldn't be any issue with this save securing the drive in the enclosure. Are you sure the drive and/or enclosure are good? m 0 l Majestic One October 9, 2012 11:32:49 PM cl-scott said:There shouldn't be any issue with this save securing the drive in the enclosure. i don't even understand what you just said. cl-scott said:Are you sure the drive and/or enclosure are good?
