Better Gaming System? Two choices...

I have an opportunity to acquire a new T3500 Precision workstation - Dual Core Intel Xeon W3503 2.40GHz., 4GB DDR3 RAM. Would this server machine work as a good gaming system overall? This would replace my my current Fell XPS 720 Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4, also 4 GB RAM Big difference? Would be putting my current Radeon 4850 video card in it.

Your current Dell XPS 720 C2Q Q6600 system would be faster... seeing as it has double the cores, and has the same cache per core and same clock speed. With most games I don't think you'd see much of a performance difference, although I'd keep the XPS 720.
