ok... I am planning a build.... Ive made an initial build plan..but have currently scratched most of it, and made some updates based on user input...

I still havent decided on a Mb/CPU combo....

since this will be a photoshop computer and not a gaming computer ..I had initially placed an AMD into the build with a ASUS MB http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131646

but now i am looking at INTEL .... due to the vast amount of Combo deals available....

Any thoughts??

Budget?

How to Ask for New Build Advice

While you're likely to get more performance out of an i7-930 in Photoshop than with a Phenom II X4, if your budget won't support it, recommending that you go Intel is useless. An Intel i5-750 build is likely to cost about $75-100 more than an AMD build. An Intel i7-930 build is likely to cost another $100-150 more than the i5 build.

You really should do what he stated and ask for help correctly so we can help you more efficiently

if your going to be doing alot of photoshop than a phenom II x6 1055t processor is the way to go with a Gigabyte GA-890GPA-UD3H motherboard since its not gaming you dont need a dedicated gpu and the hexacore procs are very good for photoshop/editing software
