Hey guys, ill keep this newbie thread short to try not to offend. I just need some quick advice on an upgrade to my PC so i can do some video editing relatively frustration/pain free. Just looking for some suggestions in terms off

Cpu: AM3 x6 1055T $213 or i5-760 $229 (australian prices)
Mboard: no idea, any suggestions?
Gcard: i was going to use the 8800Gt 256mb i have atm. Will that be enough?
RAM: no idea! How much and what type do you recommend?

Have around $800 to spend, though i would prefer to get the best value for money rather than blow through my budget.

Any advice would be really appreciated, im really lost here!!!!

Cheers

Better off with an Intel i5 or even better an i7. Graphics Card doesnt play a large role though NVIDIA is the way to go for CUDA which some applications support. What you have will be enough to get started. 4 GB RAM is the desired amount. A big reasonably fast HDD is also desirable. That should make a good start.
