New TV/Moniter

Hey all,
My mum recently bought me a new tv (32") but it is 1080i not 1080p. So my question(s) is: will it look clear like a normal moniter would @ 1920x1080 and will i be limeted to 30FPS in games?

32" is a big TV, so you might want to sit a little farther from your TV...
Well, it depends on your specs if you want to play games with constantly 30fps on that TV.
Since your mother already bought it, so why don't you just try it?

i will be sitting about 2 metres from the tv , will it be clear like a laptop screen? (i cant try it because i havn't finished my pc build) , and i ask wether i will be limited to 30fps because 1080i can only do 60 fields per second (30 frames per second)

if its 1080i that probably means it will do 720p. 720 progressive will probably look nicer then a 1080 interlaced
