New mid-range gaming build

APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: Within the next couple of weeks

BUDGET RANGE: Preferably under $800 after tax (12%)

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Gaming, maybe some casual video editing

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: Just need the tower, and I already have a hard drive and DVD drive.

OVERCLOCKING: Yes

SLI OR CROSSFIRE: No

MONITOR RESOLUTION: 1680x1050

well, here is my input:

ditch the gtx 460 and save $50 for a radeon 5770, which is almost the same performance-wise.

if you will be doing a lot of gaming, you need a higher watt psu, around 750w, as well as an after-market cooler for the cpu (corsair master hyper 212-$30).

other than that, it looks pretty good

Alright, thanks Davcon.

What are your guys' opinions on the Athlon 440 vs i3 530 (and their respective platforms)? The i3 platform is $30-$40 more, but overclocks better and is better stock in many games, from what I've seen.
