New i5 gaming system, need suggestions

Hey guys, first time posting here! I am attempting to build my first PC in years. I am trying to discover the best solution for a gaming PC in the 1000-1200 range. This has brought me the following types of parts:

I was looking for any suggestions on what the thoughts were on this build. Is there any places I can do better? Once again looking to stay between 1000-1200. I will however got a bit above this if the parts reasonably require it!

Ooops, missed the important "read before" stuff so here it is:

APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: As soon as possible

BUDGET RANGE: 1000-1200

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Gaming

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: Keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers, etc. Just looking for the core PC.

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: Newegg.com

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: USA

PARTS PREFERENCES: Prefer Intel

OVERCLOCKING: No or Maybe... not sure yet

SLI OR CROSSFIRE: Not sure if I need it, suggestions appreciated.

MONITOR RESOLUTION: 1920x1080 I believe.

Couple of Suggestions:
1) Switch hard drive to the Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB
2) Go with EVGA for Nvidia cards (best manufacture and support) - Look at their GTX 460 1GB Superclocked EE video card. It is the fastest of the GTX 460's based on the reviews I've seen.
3) Don't skimp on your PSU with the Cooler Master. You want a higher quality brand like Corsair, Antec or SeaSonic. I would check the Antec 900 for a combo deal with the Antec EarthWatts EA650 (or qet it with the Antec 300 Illusion combo)
4) Check all of your components for combo deals on Newegg for additional savings.
5) Don't forget to consider a heat sink fan. I would recommend getting the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus from Amazon or TigerDirect (cheaper than Newegg).

Took most of those suggestions and found what looks like a much better PSU in a bundle. Also, added that graphics card, but couldn't get a hold of the one you suggested specifically because it is out of stock.

A SSD makes one of the single greatest performance impact on the speed of your PC.... IMO & Experience. I would recommend getting it if fits into your budget.

Like I said, only thing I am still debating is the SSD.

You are missing a heat sink from what I can tell, which means no true overclocking.

Your PSU is overkill for your setup (meaning no SLI with the MOBO). I would drop down to a 650 or switch the motherboard to the ASUS P7P55D-E Pro.

Just a couple of my thoughts

If I don't plan on overclocking right away, will I be fine with the stock fan? Only reason I ask is that it's 50 bucks on NewEgg. Only 30 on Amazon, but 1-2 month wait for shipping... so I'm kind of in a bind. I doubt I'd be overclocking right away anyway.

But if I get the Antec 900 case, will it fit OK? Description makes it sound huge.

It will fit into the Antec 900 just fine. The bigger issue will it effect your RAM slots. Make sure 1) install your RAM first before the heat sink and 2) make sure your RAM is doesn't have to high of a heat spacer (yours looks okay).

Ok I finalized the order. Thanks for all the help guys.

With monitor, ended up a little above my budget, but I'd rather do it right. Wanted to spend 1200 max, ended up at about 1400 after taxes.

I did go with the Asus Pro + i5 750 combo for future SLI (leaving my option open) and kept the PSU from the Case combo.
