SSD to boot, HDD for everything else

i was wondering if i could load a copy of windows 7 onto my 64gb SSD, and all my drivers and stuff for a faster boot time, b ut was wondering if i coud save all my stuff onto my 2tb HDD by default automatically without manually setting everything i instal to save onto my HDD. i am not used to having an SSD so i know i would accidently fill the small SSD in no time at all without realizing it.

you can set all your default profile and install paths in windows 7 to your secondary drive so that you will not have to worry about it.

how do i do that? and by doing that do i lose all my settings (though they really don't matter to me, i can do it all again)
