Screwed SSD?

Hey all,
I have a OCZ Vertex 60GB SSD and when i first built my PC it boots in like 5 sec but nows like 12 why?

Those Vertex drives came out with some issues. Update the firmware on the drive and the bad thing will likely go away.

Also the fuller they are the slower they get. Rule of thumb leave 50% free (this is no joke).

Actually it's 20% but still with a small to begin with 60GB drive that can be a problem.

Some OCZ drives have "performance" levels that trip based on %full though, one being 50%. OCZ drives have a ton of issues in general though

^ Hes right, it is to do with their garbage collection algorithms if you care enough to look into it.

Sadly the 50% rule of thumb will be here for a while longer. Win8 loads faster if you want to change over =P
