Hi guys, sorry if this is a dumb question but would it be possible for me two get 3 monitors running with a z68 and 1 580GTX? I want to stick to Nvidia and not go SLI if possible.

Could I plug my TV into the HDMI out and use that for my 1080p viewing and run my two 27 inch monitors off the GTX 580.

Or am I going to have to go SLI? Cause no one in Hong Kong seems to have the GTX 590 in stock.

PNY and Matrox both sell multiple monitor cards. They're mostly workstation or "professional" graphics and not so much gaming cards.

I myself have a PNY Quadro NVS 440 card that runs 4 monitors from one slot. They also make cheaper cards that run 2 monitors from one slot.

They are here: http://www3.pny.com/Categories/ProfessionalGraphics.aspx?Category_ID=17

ATI also has some "multi view" cards: http://www.amd.com/us/products/workstation/graphics/ati-firemv-2d/2250-pcie/Pages/2250-pcie-specs.aspx

He can use the IGP built into Z68 motherboards to output to one screen using the sandybridge built in GPU and his GTX580 to connect to 2 other screens.

So yes, you can connect 3 screens

for example

HDMI on mother board - Screen1
DVI 1 on GTX 580 - Screen 2
DVI 2 on GTX 580 - Screen 3
