HD 5770 with genertic pnp monitor?

I'm Gonna get this new computer with a HD 5770 but I have this compaq monitor (genertic pnp monitor) I'm wonder if the new graphic cards these days are able to handle old school monitors. I did see analog on the back but i'm wondering if its able to hand my old monitor.

My monitor has neither Vista nor Win 7 drivers. It is five years old. It works with Vista and Win 7 very well without a problem with generic Windows drivers. Monitor power-save function, sleep, and hibernation all work properly.

Yours may also work for basic functions but sleep, hibernation, and monitor power-save mode may not work. You may have to test.
