I have just upgraded My CPU from a AMD Athlon 64 3800+ to a AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ and this causes My graphics card to become disabled. I have switched back to the 3800+ and everything is fine again. I thought it was the processor so I exchanged it and I am having the same issue. The specific error for my Graphics card is "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)" I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Drivers for the Graphics card and Have updated the Bios to the latest version. I have a 500watt PSU so that should not be a problem either.

Here are my Specs:
Operating System
MS Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit
CPU
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ 109 °F
Toledo 90nm Technology
RAM
3.0GB Single-Channel DDR @ 157MHz (2.5-3-3-7)
Motherboard
Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. nForce (Socket 939)
Graphics
@ 1280x1024
ATI Radeon HD 3600 Series (ATI AIB)

I have the dual core optimizer installed. I have not tried a fresh install. I was hoping to find a different fix. I cannot understand what is causing this since just swapping to the old processor fixes the issue and yes the system recognizes the processor as a dual core. Any other ideas?
