More about what cooling attached
  1. are you talking about your CPU cooler?

best case scenario, your PC shuts down

worse case scenario, you fry your CPU and need a new CPU

either way it will happen as you boot up your PC
  2. Which cooling do you mean? Attached to what? Do you mean the cpu heatsink or something else? Do you mean a gaming pc, a home theater pc, or something else? Provide us with a little more information.
  3. I have a feeling he means his fan stoped working on his power supply but thats just a guess. If I am right do not use the power supply without a fan it will blow and could take other parts with it.
  4. SAAIELLO - That thought crossed my mind since this is a power supply section.
  5. true but he uses the word "attached" rather then working, running, stop spinning, etc.,

only way the PSU fan is not "attached" is if someone physically removes it. could also just be a poor choice of words
  6. Best that that might happen: The comptuer fails to work

    Worst: Your house burns down.

I think the latter is correct, poor choice of words
