What happens if cooling is not attached?

will it blow up?
or will it melt?
will power supply blow up?
what other hardwares will be dameged or blow up?

When will it blow up or melt? after 1 day or few months or for years?

Which cooling do you mean? Attached to what? Do you mean the cpu heatsink or something else? Do you mean a gaming pc, a home theater pc, or something else? Provide us with a little more information.

I have a feeling he means his fan stoped working on his power supply but thats just a guess. If I am right do not use the power supply without a fan it will blow and could take other parts with it.

true but he uses the word "attached" rather then working, running, stop spinning, etc.,

only way the PSU fan is not "attached" is if someone physically removes it. could also just be a poor choice of words
