Its cooling it fine I have great airflow in my case. While playing BC2, my 285 hits 88 - 90C. Depending or not if I have the AC on. The fan will scale up higher if need be to not let it surpass 91C. Just run Furmark you'll see. Nothing to worry about! weehamish June 21, 2010 9:23:57 PM ok ill download it, i have a cosmos s case so my air flow is pretty much topped hope its ok. Have you cleaned out your card for any dust lately? weehamish June 21, 2010 9:34:00 PM Its brand new so yeh its dust free, i think its just dow 2 because theres no Vsync and i get insane FPS Mass effect 2 runs at 65C. borisof007 a b U Graphics card June 21, 2010 9:39:06 PM Yeah I could see how no Vsync could cause that. You can download MSIAfterburner and manually make your own fan speed:Heat ratio chart so that at, say, 83 degrees your fan will kick in to 100% instead of just 75%. FYI, I have my fan to constantly run at 75%, no matter what. I could care less about noise since I have good headphones anyway. weehamish June 21, 2010 9:46:07 PM True but i dnt wanna kill it off, im hopeing atleast 2 years from it, its only DOW 2 that makes the fan go above 50% really ive never seen any other game do it yet. Yeah i think its the Vsync thing shame really im gna try force it through nvidia control panel OvrClkr a b U Graphics card June 21, 2010 9:53:21 PM Use Afterburner and create a fan curve just like boris suggested. weehamish June 21, 2010 10:05:33 PM Nice 1 ill try that now, i dnt think dow 2 will let me force vsync its having no effect :\ jonpaul37 a b U Graphics card June 22, 2010 1:54:21 PM If it helps, i have my GTX285 running @ 77% Fan speed and i do not surpass 76c, my specs are below....
