unwanted progrsam on computer

Hello,
how can i remove a program from my computer when it does not show up in the computer, but is on my task bar

It might be one that does not create a start menu option but it will still show up in add remove programs. What program is it?

Assuming Windows, have you tried:
Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs -> search for the program name and remove it?

If you don't know what is starting it up, but you're not sure you want to remove it, you can disable it from starting up.

Go to Start -> Run
In the box type "msconfig"
There should be a startup tab in the window that opens up. From there, look for the program and uncheck it.
