Need some help

I am not sure on what the best ram i can get or even if I can get any better am just really looking to get this PC running a bit better cant really upgrade the CPU its around the best the motherboard will take so going to try and overclock it so first am just trying to find out whats the best RAM it will take, going to get a new CPU cooler as well.

any help would be great

intel core 2 cpu 6600 @ 2.40GHz

4 gig ram

2x 1 GB of kingston PC2-4300(266Mhz)

1x 2 GB of A-Data technology PC2-5300(333 MHZ)

asrock ConRoeXFire-eSATA2

I would sell it all as a package deal (board/cpu/ram) for around $150 and start over. I use craigslist or anandtech's for sale forum. If successful, you can go with a 955 or 965 phenom II and 4 gb of ddr3, which goes for around $40.
