Hello,
I’m planning on buying my first Laptop very soon (always been a desktop gamer). I’ve settled on the M15x from Alienware and have gone for the following spec:

i7 Processor 720QM (1.60Ghz, 6MB L3 cache)
4096MB 1333MHz Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM [2x2048]
320GB (7,200rpm) Serial ATA Hard Drive
15.6-inch Wide Full HD Display (1920x1080)

The only problem I’m having is choosing a graphics card, Radeon HD 5850 or GeForce GTX 260M.
Money’s not the issue I just want to know which is better and most future proof?

Thanks,
Will

Both have similar performance. But the 5850 is more future proof as it supports DirectX 11

Yeah I was thinking the 5850 would be better but read that the M15x only allows it to run on DDR3 not DDR5 so can slow performance (sorry if that's not said right I'm not that techy).

But guess the 5850 is still be the choice.
