Need help finding a AMD cpu

I am helping my girlfriend search for a new laptop and wanna get a lot of bang for my buck. I am not interested in intel cpu's because in my opinion you can spend less and still get pretty good performance from an AMD chip. I used to be a pretty hardcore computer guy but now my interests have changed and I'm a noob. I have searched google tomshardware and various overclocker sites trying to find a list of AMD CPU's (for laptops) so I can use it to make a good comparison to other cpus. Can someone create or point me to the direction of a list of AMD cpu's in order from worst to best? (AMD only please im looking for a comparison to intel chips) Nothing against intel just looking to save some cash.

if its gaming then try going for the Phenom x4 955,965BE ,
if its just casual usage and somewhat gaming then Athlon x4, x3's better

and yeah its a good pick to go for amd rather than INTEL in such cases
