MSI p67a-gd65

I'm not sure if this is due to BIOS options, as I have messed with them a bit. So far I can only wake the computer from sleep if I press the power button. Also, when I force shutdown via the power button, after 4 seconds, the computer restarts.

I'd like it just to stay off but I'm not sure what setting would decide that.

EDIT: I was able to get it to wake from sleep via a setting in the bios. No problems there. Still wondering why it restarts after 4 seconds on a force shutdown?

When you are in your OS and turn the computer off via software choices, does it stay turned off?

Yes. It's only when I hold the power button that this restart occurs. I'm not sure if it's a problem or some option. I'd just like it to stay off if I have to hold the power button.

I agree; first check your BIOS, then I'd check and make sure you seated your jumpers from the case panel to the motherboard correctly. This has always been a sore spot for me and until my last build always took me 2-3 tries.
