I have decided its time to part with my 2 year old Q6600 build and step it up to the big leagues.

Im going to be using some old hardrware (video card, HDD, PSU) and probably selling my q6600 along with the gigabyte mobo, cpu cooler and ram.

Im going to be using some old hardrware (video card, HDD, PSU) and probably selling my q6600 along with the gigabyte mobo, cpu cooler and ram.

My current build is looking like this
-CPU: Intel I7 930 (Microcenter - $199)
-Motherboard: ASUS P6X58D-E (Tigerdirect $204 after 15% BCB)
-Ram: 6GB Corsair XMS3 PC12800 [9-9-9-24] ($135 after 15% BCB)
-CPU Cooler: Corsair H70 (its coming out in approx a week so im going to wait and buy it, almost got a H50)

Total: around 600 depending on how much the H70 costs

Parts staying from the old setup
-Graphics: ATI Radeon 5770 (XFX 1GB) - from old system
-Power Supply: Corsair CMPSU-750TX 750W psu
-SSD: Intel X25-V (40gb for windows)
-Case: CoolerMaster 690 II Advanced

How does everything look so far?
The only parts i have left to buy are the 930 from microcenter and the Corsair H70 Watercooling CPU cooler once its released (should be very soon).

I am also looking to purchase new fans all around my case because currently i have the 3 stock CM fans and 2 other xigmantec fans which are quite loud and dont do to much of a job.

Anyone have suggestions for quiet but powerful fans, i need 2x 140mm fans for the top exhaust, and 2x 120mm fan for the rear exhaust and front intake.

Any recommendations or suggestions are welcome!
Thanks!

Looks good I suppose.

To be honest though, the Core i7 930 isn't that much faster than the Q6600, at stock speeds yes but overclocked it's not too bad at all.
