Question about heat spreader value Tags: Memory Overclocking Heat RAM Last response: May 24, 2011 6:50 AM in Memory Share lordravage May 24, 2011 4:33:18 AM If I don't plan on overclocking my ram, is there any real need to get it with massive heat spreaders? The Ram sticks with the huge, comb-like fins look cool, but would they give me any benefit over the compact, plain rectangular heat spreaders? Or even over ram without any heat sink? If the memory has the same listed clock speed and timings, it should perform equally well and without issues as long as I don't overclock it or run some sweltering hot system, right?
