Laptop Hard drive just get pwned??

Hey all... I just dropped a hard drive from about 3 feet high (it fell off a table when I set it there on something) and fell onto a pc case side which is metal.. Did I just break it.... I have no way to check it for months because it's part of a pc that will be built over an accumulation period... I'm guessing the answer is "You'll just have to check and see"... This really pisses me off.. Well thanks for any replies to quench my self destructive rage..

If you can't check, how would we know chances are you'll hear the clicks of death when you try it. RIP harddrive!

Laptop drives are rather tough little things(more so when off).

You still should run a test from the drive maker to see what it says.

HD Tune has a good generic test as well.

The free one has the test as well or you can try Pro for 30 days(please do NOT do write benchmarks as they erase the drive, you are after error scans anyway).
