i currently have a micro size case with 250w psu ,pentium D,2.8cpu,mother board is D102ggc2 .
i want to upgrade my psu to about 500w but there is no micro size
psus that are that powerfull.
can i stick a atx v2.0 case outside of desktop safely??
is my motherboard built to handle the higher power?
it says in pdf for mb that its power requirements are 13A constant on
12v and 16.5 peak.and i see that psu usually say 18A on 12v
im going to be installing a 256mb x1600pro.pci-e
do psus have saftey features that determin the
correct wattage for your mb?
im going to have to put psu outside of box ,what psu do you recomend?
i live in new zealand ,i buy from this auction site ,please send me a link for a good psu around $90nz "www.trademe.co.nz"
thankyou in advance.

I would guess that the card would run on your PSU since it has 18amps. There are other better and more power efficient low profile cards that would and it would be a better investment option than PSU outside the case.
PSU only send out the power that the system needs so bigger does not matter.
