Hi,
I have a laptop Compaq Armada 1500c. It was given to me with a damaged
battery (I've checked it and it was realy damaged). Then I've bought a new
battery pack, put it in, charged it and nothing has happend. I can't turn on
the computer. (battery LED is blinking - which means that batery is low).
One of my suggestion is the DC-DC circuit is damaged. Another is that AC-DC
adaptor is damages. That's why I'm loking for a service manual. I need to
check voltege levels on battery, AC-DC power converter and internal DC-DC
conveter. I've measured them but I don't know if they are OK.
Maybe someone know where I can find service manual or send it to me by
e-mail. If somone has any othres suggestions please help me.

The service manuals will not assist in repairing subsections, but will
come in handy if you need to replace them.
There is also considerable legacy SW support for the Compaq Armada.
Check out the forums and self help resources in the same HP website.
The unit should run without a battery, if the charger is functional,
and vice versa. The batteries are hot-swappable also, according to the
literature - and I've had no problems when testing this claim.
