Inspiron 530 and an HD 5670

As the title says I'm wondering if I can use this card with my craptastic Dell. I currently have a 4670, and from what I've seen on a review site, the 5670 idled about the same, but was 21w higher on load. My 530 has a 300w psu. Core 2 duo at 2.4 and 1 500gig hd. I'm wondering if that extra power draw on load will be the tipping point. Thanx in advance.

About power consumption don't worry, HD5670 is gonna be fine with 300W PSU...
What about your motherboard? what pcie slot version? 1.0? 2.0?
If you has 1.0 slot version then make sure to get HD5670 2.0 version...

Yea my machine has a 1.0 slot. So the 2.1's aren't backwards compatable huh? Good to know. So a 2.0 version it is then. Thanks alot for the help.

Technically, 2.1 are backward compatible with 1.0 slot, but many people have issues with that setup...
So, let's play safe and get 2.0 card...
