HTTP error 206, Partial Content

I'm trying to download a 4gb dvd iso of a linux distro. I'm using wget to get it, and it times out a lot. This is no problem, until the image file gets around 2.1gb. Then I start getting the 206 error (Partial Content). Googling has left me in the dark.
Does anyone have a solution around this?
