Hello,
I have just bought a seagate hard drive and want to used it with my humax foxsat hdr recorder as extended memory I know the format is linux or ext2 .I am 67 Please could you tell me laysman terms how do I reformat the seagate to linux format

u can format i by using program
like
acronis disk director
hp usb format

You could use GParted.

Alternatively, some devices are able to format external drives from within their own firmware. Does your Humax box offer to format the external drive?
