Can you crossfire two different hd 5770 brands

Will the PCIe 2.0 and 2.1 difference matter crossfiring two different brands of 5770.
Im looking at matching up my xfx XXX edition 5770 with the HIS IceQ5 Turbo.

In reply to my last statement, i will find out in 2-3 days, I just ordered the IceQ5 Turbo from newegg. And thank you jaguar for clearing up the interface specs question.
