PSU comparison

I'm looking at 2 PSUs for a new setup. I was just wondering which of these you think is better and why.

1. Antec EA-750

2.Cooler Master GX Series 750 W

3. Antec TP-750 Truepower

Thanks,

Steve

  1. your links don't work for people outside of canada. the antec true power series is hybrid-modular and one of the best PSU series out in the market. So at a similar price, I would go with the Antec. both would do the job though for most systems that run two mid range cards in SLI/CF.
  2. The GX isnt a great high-end PSU, the ripples pretty bad for the cost.
The EA is decent, but not really efficient and outputs on the lower side of 750Ws. Price is nice though.
The TP is pretty nice, but a tad on the expensive side.

Honestly I would really recommend the XFX 750BE, top-quality Seasonic build, same output as the TP and more efficient for $30 less: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817207003&Tpk=XFX%2075.
  3. For what you are paying. CORSAIR HX Series CMPSU-750HX 750W ATX12V 2.3 / EPS12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS SILVER Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139010 is a better choice...

consider yourself lucky. i can't see newegg.ca links, it just sends me to the home page. I'm not the only one who has the issue.

It mind be becuase I'm from CA, USA :D :kaola:
  7. With the XFX 750W being cheaper than the Cooler Master GX 750 after MIR its no comparison, definitely go for the XFX 750W unit its a much better PSU. The TP-750 and HX-750 are comparable to it, the GX 750 isnt high quality and did poorly at jonnyguru and is not on my recommendations list, especially not when it costs the same as the superior XFX model.
  8. If your willing to pay $150 for http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371025&cm_re=antec_tp_750-_-17-371-025-_-Product

    Then

    http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139010
*Also has $20 MIR so it ends up only costing like $130*

    Is a MUCH better deal.

    Better company

    Better PSU

Better Warrenty *Its 5 years!! and 7 in the US :kaola: *

The HX is a good PSU, but why get that when you can get a equivalent XFX for only $115?

For $15 more after MIR you get a better PSU that has a 5 year warranty.

The XFX has a 5-year warranty silly, the Corsair has 7. Also explain to me how is the HX better?

The HX is $25 more, outputs 24W less power, and the only advantage is an 2 year extension over the already generous 5-year XFX offers.
  12. Oh w/e its not my problem... both will get the job done... I just like cosair more =p.

I was going to say the felt bag come with a free PSU... but this one does not like alot of the other ones.

  13. Don't buy a CM GX series that's for sure it's ok but nothing like the other units.
Antec Truepower New 750W Modular Power Supply -$134.99/$109.99 after mir
    http://ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=36264&vpn=TP-750&manufacture=Antec&promoid=1018
The only other worthy units are the HX750 and the XFX 750 as previously mentioned.
