Western digital wd20ears controller

Hello,
I've got a problem with my WD 2TB HD.
Although the BIOS recognises it, Windows and none of the HD tools I've tried can see it or access the files stored on it.
Hence I suspect a malfunctioning controller. It's easy to remove but where can I purchase another one ?
Also do anyone know of another possibility to recover my files, some 1300 GB !

did you try this http://www.piriform.com/recuva also edit and remove your e-mail to avoid spam

It sounds like an internal problem, not a board fault.

Anyway, a straight board swap will not work.
