After backing up all necessary files, (Docs, Movies, Pics,Music etc) I build a new pc, and installed a new OS. I didn't remember that my games drive was raided. Is there anyway to plug the 2 drives into the new pc and get the raid back? They have NOT been formatted. Looking to recover some files from there, the games are not an issue as they will be all re-installed anyway, but I did have a folder that i cannot replace.

Thanks for any help in advance.

Tek.

If it is software RAID, yes. You can plug the drive into any computer with the same RAID software/OS and the drives will be recognized. If it is hardware RAID (motherboard or RAID card), you will need a similar RAID device in the new computer. The RAID device usually have to be the same chipset. However, if the RAID device is from the same manufacturer, check with the manufacturer if the RAID is compatible with the new system.
