Intalled a Radeon 5830, only using one 6 pin connector as I do not have enough c

Installed a Radeon 5830, only using one 6 pin connector as I do not have enough connections.
Can I get some sort of expander?

  1. yes, you should have received a molex to 6 pin adapter included as part of the accessories with your card.

    You connect the molex's to your PSU and the 6 pin to your graphics card.

    BTW what PSU do you have?
  2. Yes. Any decent computer store should have adapters on sale that convert standard 4-pin peripheral connectors to 6-pin pci express ones.

    550W power supply, I have the adapter, it;s just there isn't enough molexs'.
  4. well there isn't much you can do about that, either unplug some stuff that isn't necessary so that you have enough molex's or just buy a new PSU with at least 2 x 6pin PCI-E connectors.
